and How to book your trip
Styrsö Kajak offers booking online through our website, or by contacting us on phone, email or via facebook. If you need more information you are welcome to get in touch by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +46 (0) 76-326 48 60.
Your booking is binding first after payment and order confirmation.
General terms & conditions
- When renting a sea kayak or SUP you must be able to swim at least 200 meters in open sea.
- You must wear buoyancy aid (included in the rental) all the time on the sea.
- Make sure you paddle safe at your skill level and weather conditions.
- If you are running late contact us to avoid emergency calls. Late returns will be charged an additional 200 SEK.
- You should bring a mobile phone with enough battery to last for the period of your rental.
- As our customer you must obey and understand the right of public access.
- As our customer you must also respect bird- and sea protection.
Responsibility and insurance
All activity with hired equipment is at own risk and responsibility. Kayaking is considered as a small craft, and you are liable to follow the maritime law. All routes are open to normal traffic and you are responsible for conducting proper behaviour according to the traffic rules.
The kayak and all equipment must be returned in the same condition as when collected. Any damage will be charged. If the rudder or skeg is broken when you return the kayak or the fiberglass is damaged you’ll pay for the repair work and material a cost starting from 2,000 SEK.
The customer is responsible for damages and loss of equipment. Check your home- or travel insurance to find out how you are covered when renting a gear or booking a guided tour.
In case of damaged equipment or any technical problems with the equipment during your trip, you are obliged to immediately inform us.
It is your responsible to return all equipment at the time agreed beforehand. We do not provide pickup service outside Styrsö and Donsö. In case you or your buddies have problems getting back in time, you should inform us as soon as possible. We will help you get back, either by boat pickup or with assistanse from the coastal rescue. You are responsible to pay for the transportation.
If the weather conditions do not allow for a safe kayaking experience, we will cancel the booking and issue a full refund.
Cancellation of booked kajak (single day hire):
There is no cancellation fee for cancellations up to 48 hours prior to departure. Bookings canceled less than 48 hours before the event will not be refunded.
Cancellation of participation in guided tours, courses or multi-day hire:
There is no fee for cancellations up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to departure. Bookings canceled less than 71 hours (3 days) before the event will not be refunded.
We do not refund in the case that you do not show up for your booking.
The refund will be made within 3 days
Always use buoyancy aid (included in the rent) when paddling.
All kayaks are unsinkable if the lids are properly closed.
Buoyancy aid, paddle, spray deck and basic map covering daily paddling is included in rental.
We have the right to cancel rental due to bad weather, typically thunder and strong winds.
Safety briefing and gear adjustments are included in the rental.
Gift cards are valid for one year.
You can buy a giftcard for yourself or give it as a present for someone else.
Gift card applies to all our activities that we organize and carry out under our own control: kayak rentals, courses and guided tours.
Gift cards are non-refundable.
We store your booking information in order to make a contract, invoice and communicate with you during the contract period.
During our guided tours the guide may take photos to share on our website or on social media with your consent. If you do not wish to appear on photos just let our guide know.
